Here are two quests that always complement each other: Kibler’s Exotic Pets and Chasing A-Me 01. While the ally count isn’t as high as some other Building on a Budget decks (meaning the probability of hitting on a Kibler’s is lower), we still like this card because of the importance of hitting protectors or Hootie.

I find the lack of Chasing in some Medoc Spiritwarden decks baffling. Clearly, if you’re playing with the big 5-drop, then you are going to have allies worth bringing back. There will be times when you can’t get Medoc online and A-Me will feed you back some critical card. Or you will want to Medoc and Chase in the same turn, like if your opponent attempts to remove the card you targeted in response to your first activation.

There are still too many benefits to running both of these cards together rather than running Medoc out there alone.

Alliance’s access to a pure ally search card in the form of The Missing Diplomat gives players a unique bonus for playing the faction. Not only are strong utility cards like Moira Darkheart, “Chipper” Ironbane, and Medoc Spiritwarden exclusive to the blue team, but you can also afford to run lower counts of them in your deck and fetch them as necessary.

Speaking of Alliance-only quests, The Perfect Stout makes the grade because not only is the secondary effect relevant, but you can also gobble up both by virtue of being a Dwarf. Who said being vertically challenged was all bad?

An equipment-based deck like this one also needs a method of returning destroyed gray cards to hand for future play. Enter Sunken Treasure. While it’s unclear how popular equipment hate is with the populace, you can still bet on opposing Alliance decks running a Chipper or two whether they’re aggro or control.
